Our special clinic for babies 0 to 2 years old

In our Foundations to Thrive clinic, we know how important your baby’s health is.  We provide specialised support for your baby’s health, development and growth.  We work to support you as a family, too.

Our focus is the first two years of life — when your baby’s healthcare needs are particularly important.  This is a key time to establish the foundations for your baby to grow, connect, and thrive.

We have carefully designed our processes for this clinic so your baby can be seen very quickly by a healthcare professional with expertise and understanding. 

We have a caring team of skilled clinicians to look after your baby including:

  • Paediatricians with specialised training in babies and young children (Neonatal training)
  • Specialised GPs with extensive experience in child-health, and special interests in young babies
  • Nurse 
  • Paediatric Physiotherapist
  • Psychologist


We also have a trusted network of clinicians such as lactation consultants, dietitians and sleep specialists to whom we can refer your baby. 

Together, we offer wraparound care for children in infancy and toddlerhood.

We’re here to help with your baby's health:

  • 6 week checks for mums and bubs
  • Growth concerns and slow growth in infancy (“failure to thrive”)
  • Feeding challenges and early nutrition including introduction of solids
  • Gastrointestinal concerns including reflux, constipation and diarrhoea
  • Sleep and settling in babies and toddlers
  • Parent and family wellbeing
  • Specialist paediatric care including physical health concerns, review after premature birth or stay in a nursery, advice re managing allergies
  • Rashes and skin concerns such as birthmarks, eczema and newborn rashes
  • Developmental checks - a great alternative if you can’t attend reviews with your Maternal & Child Health Nurse, or would like medical support at these points.
  • Movement checks and support - Gross motor skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling and walking

 

Please note, at this time, we do not offer childhood immunisations.
